Hotel Description

We provide extremely comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation, in a beautiful village in rural Cheshire. We offer peace, tranquility and seclusion. All accommodation is on the ground floor. We have two spacious, light and airy bedrooms. Each has a really large double bed (2m long and 1.8 m wide) and an en-suite room. Both en-suites have a shower, and one also has a bath. Both ensuites have under floor heating. Guests have use of a private sitting room with large comfy sofas and a wood burning stove: this room has French doors opening onto a delightful patio area with outside seating. In case of poor weather we have many books, magazines and DVDs to choose from. Guests may also wander around our secluded garden, and can see two areas which we added in 2011: the vegetable garden with raised beds made of genuine old railway sleepers; and the hen coop and run which houses our six hens. You can feed them by hand with grain - which we will give you, then they will cluck most contentedly. We are next to National Trust woodland and the beautiful Cheshire village of Burton with its old sandstone buildings and lovely old church.

Couldn\'t Ask For More!
We had a fantastic time at Trustwood, our hosts were lovely and extremely helpful even guiding us there via an alternative route due to horrific traffic! The breakfasts were out of this world; a huge amount of variety, freshly-made with local ingredients and delicious. The sitting room area made for a home-from-home environment and the facilities are excellent. Couldn\'t recommend more.

September Break
This is a hidden (almost literally) gem of a B&B. but once there nothing seems too much trouble for Lin. Breakfasts are varied and almost too much choice, with a wide timescale for eating!

If we are ever in that area that is where we would wish to stay.

Peaceful And Comfortable
We had a very comfortable stay. The bedroom and bathroom are both lovely and we enjoyed being able to use the guest sitting room. The garden is beautiful. Excellent breakfast too! We found having separate duvets for each side of the double bed rather strange, but not a problem.

What A Treat
We stayed at Trustwood for 3 nights. A very tucked away B&B in Burton Village. The accomodation is wonderful, beautiful bedroom, access to a comfy lounge, cosy wood burner and snug area with TV and DVDs. Breakfast yummy, excellent choices overlooking a garden that is out of this world. We hope to be back soon.

We felt very welcome in this lovely home. The tea and cake on arrival was delicious, as was the breakfast in the morning (eggs fresh from the hens outside). A comfortable bed in a large airy room; who would stay in an expensive luxury hotel when you can have all this for such a reasonable price?

A Warm Welcome
A warm welcome was given by Lin and Peter and this warmth was echoed by the house; the wood burner, underfloor heating and fantastic insulation kept us snug during this week of hail and rain.

Breakfasts were wonderful, an excellent choice of healthy and tasty dishes prepared from fresh local produce ( thank you to the hens).

The modern interior was clean and fresh with quality bed linen, comfortable furniture, a great en suite, use of a fridge (with fresh milk provided), information about the local area and interesting displays. All in a tasteful decor with fresh flowers, and surrounded by views of their beautiful gardens.

A big thank you to Lin and Peter, nothing was too much trouble.

We would certainly recommend this B&B to our friends, and look forward to staying again in the future.

Superb B&b
One of the best B&Bs in which I\'ve ever stayed. The room was a good size as was the ensuite bathroom and both were finished to a high standard. There is also a lovely guest lounge area with comfy sofas. The breakfast was superb with a great range of choice and use of high quality ingredients such as freshly laid eggs from the owners\' chickens.

Overall a really first class place to stay.

Excellent Stay
Lin was extremely accommodating with our ever-changing arrival plans, and was a wonderful host. The room was perfect - a really comfortable and large bed, fluffy towels, and all vey clean. When we came back to the room on the saturday night the living area was still warm form the wood burning stove which gave it a really homely feel. The breakfast was also delicious with an excellent full English, and lovely home made granola. All in all a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

The description of Trustwood B & B is matched by reality. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the very generous breakfast was one of the best we have experienced with an emphasis on fresh produce and home cooking. We were travelling with our daughter and son-in-law and Trustwood B&B provided the ideal place to stay for the 4 of us to attend a family wedding nearby. Perfect Home From Home...but Better!!
Incredible stay. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. The bedroom was super comfy, brilliant bed and linen, fantastic bathroom and the view of their gorgeous garden was great! They even had homemade cookies next to the kettle in the room...it\'s the little things!!

Breakfast was by far the best I have ever experienced in a B&B, with fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, muesli and homemade honeys and jams to choose from. Then we were given an incredible hot breakfast both mornings (from what we chose the night before) including options like full breakfast, to scrambled eggs and smoked salmon to haddock with poached eggs...and not just normal eggs...double yolkers from their chickens!. Fantastic! We were there for a wedding in Chester centre and it really was not a hassle being more in the countryside, it actually made it that little bit more special. We would stay again and will recommend to others. Thank you Lin and Peter, what a wonderful and perfect operation you are running!!

Delightful And Restful B&b At The Heart Of The Wirral
This is our 4th year staying at Trustwood B&B. The peaceful and warmth of this quiet village is only broken by the village clock chiming and woodpeckers drumming in the surrounding trees. An oasis where you receive a very warm welcome from Peter and Lin Friend. The breakfast is superb with a very wide menu to suit all tastes. Couldn't Have Been Better
We were so pleased we'd read previous reviews - all of which were spot on - and chosen Trustwood for a few nights, while attending a family party in the area. Lin is an excellent host and the accommodation and breakfasts, as already stated were fabulous. We also appreciated the extra, and thoughtful, little touches - like home grown sweet peas in the room, baked peaches for breakfast (which we just had to squeeze in!) and home made cakes on arrival / biscuits in the room. Lots of effort on Lin's part - all making for a very enjoyable and memorable stay - thank you. Also to Peter who was just as welcoming. We'll be back!

Easy Stay For A Family With Young Children.
We spent 3 very relaxing nights at Trustwood Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were large, clean and very well kept and we had the run of a large sitting room dining room as well which was great for our children. We had a very lovely stay at this gorgeous bed and breakfast. The room was spacious, the bathroom wonderful, the garden looked beautifully kept, and the surroundings very peaceful. Both the owners were incredibly helpful too.

We loved the fabulous breakfasts, but I think my other half would have liked his scrambled eggs slightly less cooked one of the mornings... Maybe we just like them too underdone though?! Outstanding B & B
Enjoyed a delightful two days at Trustwood. We could not fault this wonderful B & B. We arrived to a welcoming wood burning stove, freshly baked scones and pot of tea for two. The facilities are first class, beautiful rooms, comfortable Queen-sized bed, state of the art bathroom, with free pampering toiletries and some of the best breakfasts we've had at a B & B. We loved the attention to detail such as fresh flowers, filtered coffee in the bedroom and fresh milk freely available in a fridge in the guests' sitting room.

Lin is a super cook and laid out such a delicious spread including fresh strawberries and raspberries, and even stewed plums!

Trustwood is perfectly placed for the attractions of the Wirral, and offers easy access by train to Liverpool and Port Sunlight. The house sits in a very peaceful position, surrounding by mature woodland and a beautiful garden.

As our hosts, Lin and her husband, were helpful but not obtrusive, giving us information on places to eat locally and timetables for trains and ferries.

Finally, we're experienced B & B users and would rate Trustwood as a five-star establishment, offering exceedingly good value for money.
