A Hidden Gem In Dover
Stayed here 2 separate nights, approx a week apart, whilst en route to/from France. Extremely well run & very comfortable guest house. Splendid full monty breakfasts, and the secure compound for off street parking is particularly useful. Would definitely stay here again.

One Nighter
Cheap but clean and friendly. Room for Motorbike in front garden as Car park can\'t open earlier. Town centre a 15 minutes walk and late opening shop only 5 minutes away. As we had windows open, there was a fair amount of noise from traffic and people coming out of the pubs etc.

The beds were very comfortable. nice ensuite. The parking was free good off road and locked for night.Breakfast was a good English delicious. the room was at the front of house so a little traffic noise when windows was open. Good For Short Stays
Good for staying one night, the rooms are clean. Unfortunately the street is quite loud. As we had to leave early we didn\'t have any breakfast. Good value.

Our Stay At Longfield Guest House
We stayed at Longfield Guest House on the night of the 9th July. We noted that this guesthouse was very clean and the owners George and Maria were very kind and helpful. The bedroom was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. An ideal place yo stay if you are travelling on a ferry or meeting people off a cruise ship like we did. A very reasonable price. The security was high and there was a lockup car park so your car will be safe. I would recommend this accommodation to others without hesitation. Thank you George and Maria.

The White Cliffs of Dover - Landmark

Distance 0.71 miles (1.14 km)
There can be no doubt that The White Cliffs of Dover are one of this country's most spectacular natural features. They are an official icon of Britain and have been a symbol of hope and freedom for centuries. You can appreciate their beauty and enjoy their special appeal through the seasons by taking one of the dramatic clifftop walks, which offer unrivalled views of the busy English Channel and the French coast. While here, learn more about the fascinating military and penal history of The White Cliffs and savour the rare flora and fauna only found on this chalk grassland. Note: toilets only available when Visitor Centre open

Dover Castle - Kent - Castle

Dover Castle - Kent - Castle

Distance 1.51 miles (2.41 km)
At 18:57 hours on 26 May 1940, the signal was received to start Operation Dynamo the evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force and French troops from Dunkirk's beaches on the northern coast of France. The network of underground tunnels beneath Dover Castle became the nerve centre of the whole operation. The best estimate was that only 45,000 of the troops could be brought back, yet Winston Churchill announced to the House of Commons on 4 June that 338,000 troops had been saved, despite the operation itself coming under attack.Today, you can experience life as it was lived by the 700 personnel based here in the worst days of the World War II. Relive the drama as a wounded pilot is taken into the underground hospital to fight for his life and see the Command Centre that Churchill visited to see the plans that helped lead to Allied victory.
