Perfect Retreat
Very cozy, very neat, though at least some rooms are very tiny, they are absolutely made-up with love & nothing\'s missing. Most of all: Extremely clean! Good breakfast - and Allan & Dianne are just lovely hosts! Britain at its best!

Lovely, Welcoming And Relaxing Place To Stay
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Rysdale Hotel. My room was clean, comfortable, cosy and tastefully decorated. I had to walk down a corridor to my bathroom, however it was my own private bathroom and was shiny and clean. There was excellent attention to the little details that make you feel looked after.

The owner of the B&B was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb. Lovely food, excellent choice, and very organised service. Breakfast is only served between 8.30am and 9am, which means it is difficult to have a lie in. This didn\'t bother me too much, and on the plus side it meant everyone was having breakfast at the same time, which added to the friendly feel of the B&B.

The location is extremely convenient, right next to the centre of Ambleside. Nevertheless it is not on a busy street, and my room had a view of a park and mountains. Parking was not difficult. There are car parks nearby - with free on road parking from 6pm to 10am, and then a £1 permit available to park in a nearby car park all day.

I am glad I chose this B&B, and would highly recommend it.

Bank Holiday Weekend Getaway
My partner and I have stayed at the Rysdale a number of times now and can say this is a lovely B&B. We are made to feel welcome from walking in the door to leaving at the end of our stay. The rooms are clean and have everything you could need. The Breakfast is excellent I would certainly recommnend staying here.

Response from Hotel
When Roddy and Carole checked in with us I was taken by surprise, knowing that they lived in Sydney,

when they said that they had stayed with us last year. However, within 5 minutes all the memories with

regards to them returned and it was very humbling to think that they had remembered us and on their

return to the UK had returned to stay with us once again. We look forward to seeing both Carole and

Roddy again in the future. Allan and Dianne.

Our Two Night Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Rysdale Hotel. Alan was very friendly and helpful. We also thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts there as well.

We definately would be booking to stay there again the next time we are Ambleside and would also recommend it to any of our friends.
