Set in a 19th-century renovated bank, the Fraser Suites are just 500 metres from Argyle Street, one of Glasgow’s main shopping streets. An iPod dock and satellite TV are provided in all apartments, which are located in Glasgow’s cultural quarter, Merchant City. A microwave oven and refrigerator feature in all apartments' kitchenettes, some include a dishwasher. Each spacious and contemporary living area has a work desk and DVD player, some feature large glass windows and a balcony. Bedrooms in the Fraser Suite apartments are light and airy and have modern furnishings. A hairdryer is provided in every private bathroom. Argyle Street Rail Station and Glasgow Queen Street Rail Station are both within a 10-minute journey on foot from the apartments. The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre is 10 minutes’ drive away. The Gallery of Modern Art and George Square are both a 10-minute walk away.

One of the most elegant buildings in Glasgow's city centre, Hutchesons' Hall was built in 1802-5 to a design by David Hamilton. It incorporates on its frontage the statues, from an earlier building of 1641, of the founders of Hutchesons' Hospital, George and Thomas Hutcheson. A major reconstruction in 1876 by John Baird heightened the Hall and provided an impressive staircase. The interior is hung with portraits of Glasgow worthies. New permanent multi-media exhibition, 'Glasgow Style'. Includes film, audio trail of Merchant City and gallery setting work by young Glasgow designers. The Hall is available for hire for concerts, exhibitions, dinners, small conferences and other functions.

Queen Street Station is a railway station in Glasgow, Scotland and is Glasgow's second main line terminus. Queen Street Station is situated between George Street in the South and Cathedral Street Bridge in the North at the Northern end of Queen Street adjacent to George Square. Queen Street is the main gateway to Northern and Eastern Scotland from Glasgow (with Central Station serving the South and rest of the UK), and is divided into two main areas, high level and low level. The station is managed by First ScotRail who operate all of the passenger services including the flagship Glasgow to Edinburgh shuttle. The high level station serves a mainline to Edinburgh, with modern diesel trains completing the journey to the capital in about 45 minutes.
