A family-run hotel with Victorian charm, situated off the New Walk pedestrian walkway to the city centre, 5 minutes' walk from Leicester University and 5 minutes' walk from Leicester Train Station. The bedrooms all have their own bathroom with a shower. They also feature tea/coffee and ironing facilities. Spindle Lodge is also situated a short walk from De Montfort Hall Concert Venue, Tiger's Rugby Stadium, Y Theatre, The Little Theatre and the Phoenix Centre. Parking is free at the property, but reservation is needed.

Leicester station is a railway station in Leicester, England. It is just east of the city centre, on the A6 road. The first station on this site was constructed by the Midland Counties Railway and was first used on 4 May 1840, when a train of four first and six second-class carriages, pulled by the 'Leopard' steam engine, arrived from Nottingham. All that remains of the first station are a pair of Egyptian-looking gateposts in Campbell Street. The station was subsequently operated by the Midland Railway, who rebuilt it in 1894. Leicester used to have several other railway stations, including Leicester Belgrave Road (on the Great Northern Railway), and Leicester Central (on the Great Central Railway).

In August 2002 t he club moved into its new home, only a stone's throw away from their old Filbert Street ground. The stadium was built by Birse Construction at a cost of 35m , is completely enclosed with all corners being filled with seating. The sides are of a good size, built in the same style and height. Running around three sides of the stadium, just below the roof, is a transparent p erspex strip, which allows more light and facilitates pitch growth. On the remaining side is a row of executive boxes. Completely encircling the stadium and hanging from the roof itself is a collage of player images.
