The course is situated about 1 mile north from the centre of Whitley Bay, a quarter of a mile from the North Sea and about 10 miles north east of Newcastle upon Tyne. Whitley Bay is an 18 hole links type course. It is of championship/county standard and is not really a happy hackers type of golf course.
