Here at Wedgwood we are extremely proud of the heritage of our company, of the legacy of our founder, Josiah Wedgwood and of the Centre itself. We are also confident in our proven ability to make your visit a truly memorable experience. At the Centre, in addition to world-class restaurants and shopping for exquisite ceramic and glass tableware and gifts, we can offer everyone from the connoisseur to the casual visitor, for adults and children, whether of UK or international origin, an enthralling experience. Our factory tours are, we believe, among the best in the world and they offer an unparalleled opportunity to see the world famous Wedgwood production facility at close quarters and in its full detail.

Distance 3.02 miles (4.84 km)
Barlaston golf Club nestles alongside the River Trent just south of Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire. It is about 1 hour drive from Birmingham or Manchester. Designed by Peter Alliss in 1977, Barlaston Golf Course is described as a little beauty. Many societies from the West Midlands, Liverpool and Manchester have already discovered Barlaston when looking for a break. The course, a par 68 over 5,800 yards long, never plays the same on morning and afternoon rounds, so don't expect an easy day. Take a look at some of the Super Challenges that face you in the rolling meadow land at Barlaston.

The stadium opened in 1997, looks imposing from afar, as it is perched on a hill with hardly any buildings around it. It looks good when lit up at night. A vast improvement on the old Victoria Ground which has now sadly been demolished. It is a fair sized stadium comprising three separate stands, one of which extends half way around the ground. I'm a great fan of grounds which are totally enclosed, so it is a shame that this new ground has three open corners. Internally, I found the stadium a bit lacking in character, however I'm sure this will develop in time. In one corner of the ground next to the away end is a large electric scoreboard.
