Touring the Cotswolds or looking for a quiet days away? Then why not make our home your base - an oasis of peace and tranquillity which to explore the area. We offer an opportunity to rest, relax and revitalise whether at the end of a hectic day's sightseeing, a cross country hike, a day's cycling, or a gentle wander around the villages and hamlets.

Our home is over 400 years old a fascinating Grade II listed building. The Victorians redesigned the facade but once inside the front door a very different scene meets the eye. The dining room has a beamed ceiling (the timbers possibly reused from old ships) and 16th century wood panelling. The archway leading to the staircase is Tudor and the stone fireplace in our main bedroom dates from 1620.

Cotteswold House was originally a wealthy wool merchant's home - much larger than it is today. It is recorded that Queen Elizabeth I lunched with Thomas Parker, the owner, most likely here in our dining room.

Our bedrooms are spacious, elegant and centrally heated. Each has colour television and tea or coffee making facilities. We can offer an en-suite double or twin room with separate bathroom, an en-suite double room with separate shower room on the ground floor or our Tudor Private Suite.

If you have a special occasion to celebrate or just for a treat then our Tudor Suite is for you. It boasts a large double bedroom with draped Kingsize bed, it's own lounge with TV and video and a superb private bathroom with canopied corner bath.

The choice is yours....

Northleach itself was given its market charter by King Henry III in 1227 and flourished as a major wool exporting town for over 4 centuries. The magnificent church of St. Peter and St.Paul was restored in the 15th century and is known as the Cathedral. Listen for the bells...

And Today it has unhurried unspoiled atmosphere. So after a stroll around town, a quiet drink and a pleasant meal return to the comfort of Cotteswold House.

Enjoy your stay!
