This beautiful room designed by Leiper is notable in a number of respects. The bay window with extensive views over Loch Long features a unique stained glass panel by Guthrie on the theme of German composers of the 17th century. The fine wood panelling and wood carving throughout the room convey a sense of opulence yet intimacy enhanced by features such as the fireplace by Jekyll, the traditional leaded windows and ornate panelled ceiling. (The navigation panel at the right of the page uses a motif from the wood
panelling).
